Goisele ski tour on the Zettersfeld
The summit on the Zettersfeld is actually called the Goiselemandl, but the locals simply call it the Goisele. The destination of this ski tour is in the Zettersfeld ski area. This means that you can control the distance you want to cover with the lifts. There are not many hairpin bends here so even inexperienced - but trained - winter athletes can tackle this tour. The classic way to start this tour is in the "Zettersfeld Zentrum" at the summit station of the gondola. Of course, you can also drive up the Zettersfeld and start a little higher up on the Zettersfeldstraße at the Rottmannalm. Here, the ski tour leads along the slope or even directly on the slope until you reach the Schoberköpfl. Shortly before the lift hut, turn off via Mulden to the ridge of the Goisele summit. A number of unmistakable ski tracks leads along the ridge slightly uphill to the northwest, where after a short, steep ascent, you will reach the lovely summit cross of the Goisele.
Ski tour duration: ca. 1.5 – 2 hrs. from the Zettersfeld Zentrum
Via the Russenweg to the Hochsteinhütte
Lienz's local mountain is a popular tour destination that delights visitors with a ski run on perfectly prepared slopes after the initial ascent. If you would like, you can carve down the slopes in the deep snow! The Russenweg trail completely bypasses the ski slopes and starts at Schloss Bruck (725 m, parking area), west of Lienz. Sufficient snow is required for this, otherwise you must ski first 300 meters uphill to the Moosalm (1,008 m) on an artificial snow slope. Or you can ride the cable car in order to start your ski hike right at the Moosalm. From here, the path leads over the slope to the upper end of the children's tow lift, where a yellow signpost marks the entrance to the Russenweg. The path crosses clearings and the forest path and is always well groomed. Ask us in advance about the conditions! You will cross clearings several times and the toboggan route once. Less experienced skiers can take the toboggan route down to Gasthof Sternalm (1,500 m). For the more ambitious, the path continues to the Hochsteinhütte past a small wooden shrine below the ridge.
Ski tour duration: 3 ½ - 4 hrs. from the valley station
