The taste of Winklers Osttirol


Regional ingredients, authentic recipes and the passion of our kitchen team make every day a delight. Head chef Robert Lang and his team work closely with producers from Osttirol - from the Girstmair family's free-range chickens to cheese from the Figerhof farm in Kals and fresh bread from the Joast organic bakery in Lienz.

Osttirol breakfast

Start your day with a treat: our extensive breakfast buffet in Lienz offers fresh pastries, regional honey, homemade jams, fruit, muesli and specialities such as bacon from the Trutschnig butcher's in Nikolsdorf or eggs from the Steiner farm. On request, we serve fried eggs, ham and eggs or coffee specialities directly at your table. In summer, enjoy your breakfast on the sun terrace with a view of the Lienz Dolomites – there's no better way to start the day!

 

Breakfast daily from 7:00 - 10:00 am

  • Fresh bread and pastries, organic spelt bread, or East Tyrolean alpine flower bread 
  • Variety of jams, East Tyrolean elderberry jelly, or honey 
  • Bacon from our butcher - Truntschnig
  • Eggs from the Steiner farm in Tristach
  • Fresh fruit and berries, Bircher muesli, homemade cakes, croissants, and muffins
  • Upon request fried eggs or ham and eggs 
  • Coffee specialties from the bar and a variety of teas

Afternoon snack

Every day from 2 p.m., you can enjoy our snack menu with snacks and antipasti in both hotels – perfect for a quick bite between meals.

5-course menu in the evening

In the evening, as part of the gourmet half-board package, you can look forward to a multi-course menu that focuses on regional and seasonal specialities. Fresh herbs from our own garden, vegetables from the neighbourhood and game from the forests of East Tyrol ensure authentic flavours – the diversity of the region on your plate.

Seasonal highlights

Autumn at Winklers Osttirol brings convivial Törggele evenings, accompanied by fragrant chestnuts, mushroom dishes and fine game specialities. During the Christmas season, we serve festive menus in an atmospheric setting. Winter itself is characterised by warming soups, hearty ragouts, winter vegetables and sweet delicacies fresh from the bakery. And when the days get longer again, we invite you to enjoy atmospheric barbecue evenings with live music on the terrace in summer.
